Mr D is an on-demand business which provides convenience solutions to customers on a variety of products. It is a convenience-delivered marketplace that currently allows restaurants and Pick ‘n Pay grocery stores to list products and consumers to purchase food and groceries via a mobile device and have it delivered or collected across South Africa

Mr D started life as Mr Delivery, the pioneer of food delivery in South Africa, delivering meals from restaurants to customers around the country. In 2014, the company was acquired by takealot.com and rebranded to Mr D Food two years later.

Food

Today, Mr D is the most used food delivery app in South Africa, delivering food from all your favourite restaurants.

We’ve also expanded our food delivery area since our Mr Delivery days. Thanks to our mobile tech, we’ve become an on-demand brand that can solve just about anything in your life.

Processing over three million orders a month, we deliver food to over 2500 areas, that is made up of 10 000 restaurants that include local and international brands.

Groceries

Mr D has partnered with fellow beloved South African brand Pick n Pay to bring customers the things they want, when they want, without the effort.

Combining 55 years of grocery experience with Mr D’s unrivalled delivery network and leading technology, we are now able to deliver a world-class on-demand shopping experience for customers.

Upping the convenience factor, our dedicated grocery shopping experience with Pick n Pay allows customers to shop over 10,000 food and grocery products through the app – at the same price as in-store – for delivery in an hour.

This seamless user journey is further aided through improved searchability for all products, listed by aisle or occasion. In addition, customers can earn Smart Shopper points on all orders, as well as eBucks, and can enjoy instant refunds via the ‘Wallet’ feature.
